Good morning!

Text:  Hosea 12-14; Psalm 95
When I was growing up, we attended a church that had a strong tradition of formal worship.  Many of the words and sayings used were lifted directly from the Bible.  Psalm 95 includes great words that call us to worship:

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand.    (Psalm 95:6-7)

We are called to bow down and kneel before Him – postures of awesome submission and humility – for three reasons:
  1. He is our God, the One who has created us, rules over us, loves us, provides for and protects us, and commands our destiny.
  2. We are His – we belong to Him.
  3. We are the sheep of His hand.  He knows us each by name, knows what is best for us, feeds us, leads us, cleans us up, and delivers us from trouble.
Our worship is our genuine response to these powerful truths.  Amen!
in Him,  Mike
