Acts is filled with many wondrous things, as the Lord uses miracles as part of His plan to establish the Church. One such miracle involves the literal raising of the dead. A woman named Tabitha has died, and Peter is there with the grieving friends and family:
But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. (Acts 9:40)
How often do we consider that we, too, are inhabited by resurrection power? That is a fact worth remembering, especially when we feel small, weak and helpless. Perhaps you are facing something that seems insurmountable. Maybe you need a glimmer of hope. How about this? The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. See how Peter knelt down and prayed. If you are in need of help, give prayer a go and see what power the Lord brings to your aid.
